If we're really going to make wakeskating out to its full potential, we (as wakeskaters) must identify the enemy. You're probably thinking jetskis, or Bass boat. No, the Bass boats are our brethern, here in Florida they drink beer, fish, and amuse themselves watching us eat it on sliders. Now you wonder who is the common enemy of the wakeskater? It's the bitchy little rich kids who ride around in the 50,000 dollar boat that mommy and daddy brought them. The same kids who've never set foot on a wakeskate and talk @!#$. Wakeboarding has a tradgic flaw, of being too expensive for the average american citizen. The boats, boards, binding, etc. Wakeskating is going to blow all that away, seeing as how it can be done behind any boat, exspecially with the upcoming evolution of sliders. This is the future people, join the communist party. --Gore--
This our chance to brake off of the traditional wake scene. (yea you know the scene. The kids who have all the money and big boats and can't do jack on a wakeboard. So they blame the million dollar equipment and go out and buy new thinking it will make them better. But it doesn't. So instead of riding they just read the mags. and watch the videos and know every move in the book. Yet they still are reluctint to try it. W.T.F.) Wakeskateing is a sport that isn't about recognition or exposer. We are out there ripping it because we have love for the sport, whether ther are 2 peopl doing it or 2 million people doing it. But the coruption of exposer is setting in. Wakeskateing is starting to be seen in the "WAKEBOARD" videos. These are two totaly different sports. And although many of you may disagree with me I feel we need to keep them seperate. The image they are setting in these videos are apealing to the tradtional wake scene. There is one video out there that has succesfuly incorpurated both sports.---The Decline Of Waterski Monopoly-- The image they had set in that video was a gift sent from heaven. It goes to show that we don't need sencored videos or top 20 songs for the sound track. I don't make a lot of scense but what im trying to say is that i would like to see the sport head in a new direction. the direction that was succesfully showed in the Decline...
But where will the sport head?...
That lies in the hands of the beholders--we the riders
So here is your question "Where do you want it to go?"
---Beach---
I find it sad that on the wakeskate deck poll nearly 50% of the people didn't even wakeskate. How could that many people never even try it. I know everyone i've let try it has liked it. But i guess that's how it is, the one of us that are doing it are opening doors to whole new worlds and those that aren't are practiceing their wake jumps. Maybe it's better that way.--Gore--
I was flipping through an old magazine when i saw a mutiny freeboards ad. Mutiny was everything wakeboarding could have and should have been. Wakeboarding has too many large companies and prepy kids who want belmonts for an ideal like freeboarding to shine through. Decline is still my favorite video. Of course a company without the finless, Balsa core gimmicks, only a just ride attitude wouldn't make it in the market, and they went under. Now I hear mutiny is coming back as a wakeskate only company, this is wakeskating's chance, just keep an open mind to outside the box thinking.--Gore--

Mutiny was what wakeboarding should
have been. Mutiny is what wakeskateing
will be.
